Our History

Founded in 2011, Green Energy Queensland (GEQ) began as a residential solar design and construction company serving the South East Queensland region. By 2012, we expanded our services to include the maintenance and upgrade of sports field lighting systems for clubs on the Gold Coast.

Our growth continued, and by 2016, GEQ had extended its operations throughout Queensland. In 2019, we further broadened our reach into New South Wales and Victoria. A key milestone came in 2017 when we introduced LED flood lights across Queensland, underscoring our commitment to innovation and sustainability.

In 2018, GEQ achieved another milestone by becoming the first company to develop off-grid and hybrid sports field lighting systems. This innovation established us as a leader in providing advanced lighting solutions for sports clubs and councils in Queensland and New South Wales.

Over the next five years, our focus will be on enhancing LED flood light capabilities and control systems to deliver top-quality, tailored solutions for our clients.

Our Expertise

With over 11 years of experience in sports field lighting and more than 12 years in the renewable energy sector, GEQ has built a strong reputation in these fields.

Lighting Projects: We have completed 74 lighting projects across Queensland and New South Wales, including 56 in regional or remote areas. Our expertise covers 17 different outdoor sports such as AFL, cricket, soccer, rugby, rodeo, BMX, horse racing, and more.

Solar Projects: We have installed solar systems for 12 sports clubs, offering grid-connect, hybrid, and off-grid solutions. Additionally, we have completed 162 residential grid-connect solar projects, promoting sustainable energy practices.
